Well what I did was left a 3/16 joint around the outside edge where the granite meets the hardwood.
Then I mixed my grout with clear silicone.

I have gone back to this job to check it out and ALL was perfect. smile

Very nice work.
Most grout colors are available in "siliconized grout". I can't imagine trying to mix the two let alone trying to apply it after it's mixed
smile

Harry, I guess I have to switch grout manufacturers. What brand do you use? The brand I use has only acrylic based caulking. I find the acrylic tends to attract dirt over time. It is also no good in wet areas.
