Here is a fireplace i did approximately 2 years ago. The stone is a Rock-faced Eramosa Limestone quarried from Owen Sound, Ontario cut into brick sized randoms (approx. 1-ton total). Reinforced the floor from the basement with teleposts. This project was dry-stacked using max-strength construction adhesive, brick ties every third course, custom saw cuts to fit corner of room, fireplace and ceiling height. The hearth is finished with a polished marble tile and I made the custom cedar mantle in my dad's woodshop. I did not take many materials photos along the way but here it is. Enjoy!
