I am wanting to add a shower in my basement but there is a block wall seperating the new bathroom and the pipes running out to my septic. Is it to code if i go under the block or through it, I would prefer to go under so i can have extra height in the shower.

Thanks

Dave

Welcome Dave, I assume the exterior block wall is where the 3" or 4" existing plumbing drain is exiting to the septic tank. This is probably 2' or so below the exterior grade.

To add any extra plumbing to the basement you are going to have to add a sewage ejector which connects to the main drain up near the ceiling, plus a 2" vent up to the attic to tie into the existing main roof vent.

Is this what your asking?

The block wall is an interior wall and i just have to get the drain through it there is allready a sink and toilet in the basement on the other side of the wall where the vent pipe and drains leading outside are.

But if i go throiugh the wall i dont have enough heigth to raise the shower floor

Thanks again
Dave

You need to break up the concrete floor to tie into the existing drain system including a vent line.
