Hey everyone i just wanted to pop in and ask if anyone has heard of this idea, i was at the schluter seminar in toronto and the instrusctor was telling about this guy who made a custom shower--i will try to explain.

picture a big slab of stone, some limestone or slabof slate of whatever, i think this guy used granite and had it slightly grinded and polished so the water would run off equaly off all sides, now the slab is mounted on some suports ,you have the option of making them invisible, the slab would be where u stand while you shower, kind of an open concept curbless kind of deal, the new trend is with an invisible drain which is located under the slab
we were talking to some guys at the schluter seminar and the said
the other idea is a JAPANESE SHOWER, they saw one at the home show,
it was a shower but the floor incorperates loose laying pebbles you can replace them when you like and the drain is underneath the bed of pebles, the floor under the pebles is sloped so the water drains out

thats just a rough idea to get the picture, but im sure you would make a japanese style bathroom,

the other idea is not a shower but a restraunt i go to has a 13 foot high by 10 wide of slate tile, and at the base is a fountiain, water continuously runs down the tiles evenly as to creat the look of a waterfall,

anyways if anyone knows what these showers are called or where i could find more info , or has another far out design, lets hear it.

i was also thinking a tiles bathtub with 1x1 mosaics, i would build the tub out of mud or something too
any sugestions?

thanks ,steve
