And what is anyone's experience with SuperiorBuilt's relatively new 4 1/2"x 12" float with a grey poly with blue plastic handle?

Welcome to the board. I just bought a marshaltown grout float that it grey with a blue handle..but it's 4 1/2 X 7 1/2. I can't imagine pushing a float that is 12 inchs...jeez your arm would fall off pretty quick wouldn't it? How is it?

I just use QEP's lighter float for walls. i got a heavier one for floors that I can put a lot of weight on.
Brian, are marshalltowns worth the cost? I find a lot of their trowels rather expensive and can't see why.

I've been buying those cheapy trowels at HD and find that the steel in them is pretty bad. They all seem to get a bend in them that doesn't go away..and they wear funny too. The Marshaltowns have much better steel in them...maybe not the grout float..but their steel trowel are much better.
