Good morning all...I currently own a couple of roto-zips and power zips. I'm having a bit of a problem, (no pun intended), in finding one that is capable of cutting floor tile. I've found plenty that work well on the wall tiles yet finding one that proves to be durable and reliable for floor tile is turning into what seems to be the impossible dream...any help in this would be appreciated....Mike Stoddard

What type of cuts are you talking about?
Round / square / straight line ?

Hi Mike,

I don't think that RotoZIp makes a bit that will cut floor tile. \:\(

I wish they did.

Good morning all...Randall, the cuts are radius that I am making, I can do them with my 4" grinder or hole cutter, I was just looking for a differant way if possible. Thanks again though for the help. Mike

Mike, the other option would be to purchase a ring saw or band type saw.
Ring saws are about 300 bucks US

Might be worth a look at if you are doing those types of cuts alot.

As an update to this thread...
I see that the Rotozip bit XB-FT1 and XB-FTC1 are supposed to cut granite and porcelain tile.
Wonder if anyone has tried it?
Reason I'm wondering is because I messed up and have to figure out a way to trim 1/4" or so off some porcelain that I've already laid down, because it's the edge for a trim / threshold piece. Only a few of the tiles are out (yes I know, measure twice and all, but changed my threshold plan after the tile went down).

So, anyone tried these Rotozip XB-FT1 and XB-FTC1 bits?
