Hi everyone! I wanted to let you all know about the newly introduced Trowel Box manufactured by Tile Buddy. This tools allows an operator to spread thinset in an even, consistent manner in one single pass. You can even stand up. I invite everyone to view pictures and details at www.tilebuddy.net

Nice idea George....though, I can't say I ever mix my thin set that runny...which I guess you would have to do if you want it to flow out of the box. I also don't go 2 rows at a time unless I have a huge area to tile. Still, good to see somebody trying new ideas. \:\)

I'm moving this topic to the Classified section.

Can't see how this product will work. When I first received your link exchange request the other day I visited your site and looked at the product. As Brian pointed out ... the mortar would have to be runny in order to flow. Mortar shouldn't flow for any reason (not even a slurry) otherwise it's mixed "wrong". Also, we try to show people how to "key" in the mortar over the substrate before trowelling the groves and setting tile ... this product is incapable of that.

Also, the mortar along the edge of the previous row would be dry and no longer capable of a bond .... corrections by hand would be necessary to acquire proper setting of tile.

Sorry guys, when you decide to sell your products in the forum you get very little sugar-coating.

What happens when you get to the end of the run? You obviously cant go right up to the wall, so you would have to turn, but then go back and fill in against the wall. All while you're kneeling in the mud.
