I noticed in the HD "123 Wiring Book" that there was a mistake on a wiring diagram. When I broguth it to the attention of one of the "experts" in the electrical dept. he told me that they had just made a "mistake" on the color of a wire so it really wasn't serious. I suggested that the color of the wired is really important in wiring. I then told the store mgr. who could have cared less.So I emailed the company and got a phone call 2 days ago but the end result was about the same. Yes, it was a mistake but simply a "typo". Now I wonder what other errors there are in this book.
Ex. #2 When trying to find a drain with the necessary weep hole to be used with the pvc membrane for a shower pan the "expert" told me (after talking to a plumber on the phone who remembered doing one about 10 years ago)that they really weren't necessary because with the newer tiles and grout ceramic showeres didn't leak anymore. So when I then asked him why I even needed the membrane he didn't seem to know.
I really wouldn't care if they didn't know Anything so long as they didn't advertise about their "experts"
