Got a call this afternoon from a fellow who wanted some help to "finish" his shower pan that he had constructed with materials and information provided by the staff at H. D. They told him to: 1. Lay the pan on top of the subfloor. (no pre-slope of course) 2. Place Durrock on top of the pan and nail into the subfloor. 3. Mix up a few bags of Versabond and float the floor on top of the Durrock. This guy said he didn't think the advice was up to snuff but he did it anyway. I'll be heading over sometime this week to fix him up. He shouldn't have a hard time getting his money back for some of the material that they helped him ruin should he? Do you think I should speak to someone from the store before he goes? Garrison
Hi G-Man ... good to see you're still alive and kicking. That is amazing! I doubt if he'll have a problem getting his money back, but maybe you should talk to management anyway just to tune them in to what the hell's going on in the flooring dept.
