I received a phone call earlier today and based on what James told me ... I suggested he send photos in. I couldn't believe what he was telling me, but from the looks of it .... it's exactly as he described.

It seems that the abs drain pipe is without a liner or clamping drain assemble and that the only thing holding water from entering into the living area below is the tile and grout. Apparently water is finding its way into the structure and drywall below and so now needs to be fixed.

The shower has been built for a wheelchair and slopes down into the floor. I've no idea what's under these tiles.

Harry; I met a tiler on a job site recently he tiled a handicap shower by dry packing to the drain,then Kerdi the dry pack floor and tile the floor to the pipe and tuck the kerdi into the pipe and stick a 5 dollar drain cap over the tile ! Shluter trained Too! and still looking for shortcuts!Top it off its a brand new motel.
