I am going to be doing my second master bath shower. my old one was 3x6 this one in our current house will be 3.5 x 7. the old one was a standard shower and center drain like most are on this site. I would like, however, because of the large size of the shower and for a more modern and clean look install a trough drain that runs perpendicular to the long walls. I have found a company in Australia that makes one around an inch and a half wide and about the same depth. My only real concern is the placement of the liner and also if this would pass code in the US. Has anyone ever installed a shower with a trough (channel) drain? most in the US that I have found are more suited for outdoor use and too deep for a shower application. any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
