I would like some feedback from people who actually have them. I have done a few seats over the years, mostly for older clients. But I've never in my life sat down while taking a shower. So I am wondering if its actually a nice and useful feature. It seems to me that it would just be a spot to gather half used shampoo bottles and soap scum.

Seats aren't for sitting on.
It's for the ladies so they can shave their legs.

IF shower is a steam unit i can see the need for the seat or if your injured it may come in handy, but yup leg shaving and junk storage probably top the list.

Same here Pete, never have sat down to "shower", in the shower. But I'm building a shower seat for my Dad who can't stand for long periods. And having never tiled, much less have had to build a tiled-shower, curb, bench, etc., has created a lot of how-to questions.
