Hi Harry,Bri,Rob Z,Randall and all.

It has been a while. As you know,my beautiful Marie passed away after the birth of our baby boy;Ray,in January of 2008,due to an infection at the hospital.Life has been tough since that time.It just isn't fair and does not make sense.

Sorry I haven't really communicated with you guys.I've been kinda reclusive.I can tell you now that our little Ray is a "shining beacon" to me.He makes me very proud.Once I get all of your e-mail addresses again I can send you a photo of him...he's a good boy, looks just like Marie except he's got my big Dutch head.

Little Ray is walking now.I figure it's just a short while before I got him grouting or mixing mud.

Haven't done much contracting.Did a few mortar beds for a local contractor. And I built a foundation for a 500 sq.ft. workshop for a friend of mine.Did the excavating, footings, foundation walls and concrete slab for him,all by my own self.He wants me to tile the floor with industrial tile and epoxy grout this year and do the 3 coat stucco for the exterior finish too.Rob Z would like this friend o' mine,Master carpenter this guy is.Perfectionist.Also I went away for 3 months to Nelson,B.C.,Canada,with baby boy to work for a good friend of mine who is a builder there.Did some concrete flatwork, some tilework and a whole lot of glass block.

Otherwise,I've been employed at my father and brother's tile stores.Been making tile displays and fixin' stuff around the place...booooring.But it's a job that ensures that I'm close to home and available to little Ray...and when I get home I can focus just on my little boy and not be preoccupied with stress from being self-employed,as all you guys can attest to.

Please send me your contact info so that I can communicate with you again.

Best regards,

Ron.

Ron, I was just looking at your profile a few days ago and wondering what happened to you after all this time. I was just about to PM Harry and ask about you.

I didn't know about your wife, very sorry to hear that. I'm sure it's very difficult for you and your son.

Glad to "see" you again.

Gid'day there buddy, hope all is well.

Remember that schluter handout thing with your picture on it? I know this sounds silly but I found it in the garage about 3 hours ago and came on here to see if you were around. Its in a little rough shape being that it's been floating around the garage for a couple years. I still need to mail it to you. I know I got your address around here somewhere.

Hi Ron,

I was shocked when I got the call from Rob that Sunday morning telling me what had happened and to figure out how to contact Harry. I can tell you that you have very good friends with those two, Bri and others. I recall telling my wife and daughter at breakfast and had to leave the table. I also mentioned it to some friends that live near you, whose father was one of the SARS victim back in '03.

I am glad to hear Ray is doing well, and know you are as good a Daddy as that kid could possibly have. I hope you find the time to stop in here now and then. You have been missed. Welcome back!

Jaz

Hi Ron, I'm back online here...give me a shout on the phone when you can. The home number is 703 327 4718 and my cell is 703 930 8829. I lost your numbers when the last cell phone went up in flames.

I would like to come and visit you, Harry and Bri again, but now I need a passport to get back into my own country. GRRRRR!!
