Anyone familiar with hydroban? Is it good for just shower walls or can it be used for the showerpan as well?

I use it all the time. I also use it for shower pans. The only drawback is you have to wait a minimum of 72 hours before applying it over drypac mud.

You can use a standard clamp style drain or the Kerdi drain.

Can you thin set and tile right over Hydro ban? I am redoing my master shower, wondering either to go with Hydro ban or Wedi Board.

All of the liquid waterproofing products are designed to allow tile to be set directly to them.

We've used about 20 gallons of Hydroban in the past few months and really like it. It dries faster than the other brands we have used and we can get three coats applied in one trip to the job.
