Getting ready to start tiling a new shower in a basement bathroom and my wife is settling on a mosaic product that has a combination of 1-inch glass and ceramic pieces. Looking for any input on the gotcha's when using the smaller mosaic pieces (of which some are glass). Is it recommended to back butter the individual pieces to ensure they are ALL well set in the thinset and, if so, is there an easy way to do this? Once installed and grouted, how do you apply the sealer to the grout? Thanks for any feedback.

Use a white modified thinset and a "V" notch trowel. You can use gray thinset, but it will change the color of the glass. Press all tiles firmly in the thinset with a wood block or grout float and wash out any thinset in the grout lines with a small sponge. The sealer gets applied 3 to 5 days after grouting to the entire surface and excess polished off n 10 minutes.
