Ok, tell us what kind you're using. What you are applying to and with what trowel?

Sure sounds like the thinset is shrinking as it dries and is breaking the glass. I checked the flextile web-site, and not a word about glass tiles. But perhaps one of Flextile thinsets are indeed ok for glass? Maybe they've sold it for glass before, but not any as large as yours?

Most other manufacturers recommend their premium latex or polymer modified mortars for glass. You should call FlexTile's Tech Department for help.

#51 is pretty good stuff, it has lots of polymer/latex in it. Are any of tile that aren't drilled or cut in some way cracking? Have you tried drilling a hole in a tile and not installing it, to see if it cracks?

I've heard that Flextile 44 Additive (high solids) combined with Flextile 51, 53, or 54 mortars should be used to bond large format glass tiles.
