Hi

I found Tiling very interesting and challenging

I understand the Plumbing trade(5 years apprenticeship)Electrician is (5 years too)

What is needed for the Tile trade,do you go to trade school,write a test to get certified

I really don't know

Too bad it's not regulated like the other trades. If it was, it might keep the hacks from ruining the business more than it is now.

If you want to get into the business, you need to get hired on as a tile helper first and learn everything you can. Hopefully its with someone who cares about the trade and is up on all the latest techniques and materials available.

You could also start doing work for friends or family(well maybe not family) laugh
Stay connected with the tile forums. There's a lot of good information available. And ask lots of questions, even if you think they might be dumb.

That particular school is more in line with commercial work and union related job skills.
