2" inch is the recommended minimum tile size for use with Ditra. Does this mean individual tile? Can I use smaller tile in sheets on Ditra. I have a client that wants 1" tile on the bathroom floor intermixed with larger tiles. I was going to use Ditra but I am concerned with Schluter's 2" minimum. The floor in an older house(1941), the sub-floor is 1x8's laid on a 45. I was planning on using Advantech 23/32" on top of that, then the Ditra. Thoughts?

Schluter says no to 1" mosaics and so do I.
