Hello,

I am installing tile on a bathroom floor and the room is way out of square. All the tile patterns I see are set either square to the room or at a 45 degree angle. I have set out the tiles in numerous patterns and the one that seems to hide the imperfects in the room is putting the tiles at about a 30 degree angle.

Is there a reason for only laying tiles square or at a 45 to the room? Is there any problem with laying the tiles this way?

Thanks,

Satflier

I've never seen a small room so "out" that it couldn't be set straight, maybe not on a 45. But if the room is that bad, then go ahead and set it at 30 or whatever. I've only seen it once, it was an entire first floor and whoever set it thought it would be best to not go 45. It's a smart way to go.

Sometimes, I think a running bond layout looks good in a room with funky dimensions or other out-of-square problems.

Hi Jaz, how ya been buddy?
