Hello i am new to this forum, the guys on the John Bridges website said i would have better luck here in canuck land. They also pointed out that Canadians are like Americans but without a green card. Here is my post
A friend of mine has been setting tile for about 8 years. He had wanted to do the apprenticship course but for whatever reason the timing never quite worked out as the company hes been working for is very busy. Now he has the opportunity to challenge the "Red Seal" exam but as his boss got his ticket many years ago is not sure what he should be studying. The book he was given by his boss is called "Tilesetting Workbook" 1986 edition. The material in that book is very outdated, unless you live in California Other then that the only books he can acquire would be the TTMAC Tile manual and their other spec books on terazzo and dimentional stone.
My question is have any of you who are red seal journeymen taken that test, and could you shed a little insite of that to study for and what should be read? I heard there are alot of technical questions.
