Hello everyone. I have an issue with my Travertine Tile. While wheeling my compressor across my travertine floor somehow my compressor must of scratched the floor and now I have some yellow paint transfer from the compressor to my floor.Is there anyway I can remove this paint from my travertine. Thanks.

Travertine is soft and small repairs can be done with wet sanding, using automotive sandpapers. Start with about 180 grit and work up to 2000 plus until the finish matches the rest. You may want to practice on a scrap tile first.

Before you start sanding though, try a white scrubb pad and see what happens.

If you can find them, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser takes off stains from a lot of things. I have even used it to take epoxy residue off the face of a tile. I get them at Walmart in this area.

Like Pete said, practice on a scrap piece or in an inconspicuous area first.
