I was wondering if anyone can help me find a reputable tilesetter in the Mississauga / Toronto area. I have Travertine tile, Marble Tile and Porcelain tile that needs to be installed over the whole house (i.e. bathrooms, showers, laundry, kitchen, foyer, and so on...).

Hi Nino, Good question. This site's homepage, http://www.ontariotile.com/ used to have a link called Ontario Tilesetter Directory at the very bottom, - http://www.ontariotile.com/directory.html The link does not take you to a list arranged by location anymore. You can still find names though by going to the user list; http://www.backyardforums.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showmembers You may find the list handy. Use it as a guide. You may not be aware that natural stone tiles require a much stiffer subfloor system that ceramic tiles. Also do not let anyone talk you into what is known as a "scratch coat" job. This is wire lathe over plywood then thin set mortar and tiles. It's a non approved method with a high failure rate. Get back to us once you start talking to a few tile setters. Jaz

I can actually build a proper showr with no leaks (40 years) on this method,, However,, I am finding the Kirdi membain to be a very substantial bennefit to showere installations,, all though,, I dont find it needed to use there drain system in all applications

It took me about a month to educate myself about tiles. I have decided on 24" by 24" porcelain tiles for the kitchen, due to the low maintenance.
