Ok, perhaps I should stick to computers. Not knowing better, I sealed the whole floor...grout and glazed tile as well (luckily it is only a 5X5 bathroom). Is there a product (maybe a stripper) that will remove the sealer from the face of the tile but leave the glaze of the tile?

Thanks for your reply!

Hi
If you can't see it, then don't worry about it...it will eventually wear off. If not..what kind(brand) was it?..and the name of the product too. \:\)

Unfortunately, I can see it...it left a dull finish to the tile that originally was glazed/shiny.

The sealer name is Superior Penetrating Sealer.

Thanks for your reply.

Hi
Hmmm?..I've never heard of that one. Do they have a web site, or a 800 number on the bottle? If so, ask them what will desolve it...these companys are really pretty good at answering you questions...but in the mean time..what have you tried to remove it with so far?

I called the retail tile shop I bought everything at. They recommended vinegar or ammonia. The vinegar didn't help and I don't have any ammonia.

Oddly enough, I found some stuff that Pfaltzgraff makes for cleaning stoneware (plates). On a small area this stuff did the best job so far. Maybe with 3 applications I can get it back to original glaze. But I was hoping there was a specific product for this situation (i.e., a stripper [that won't damage the glaze])

Hi
The only thing that could damage the glaze would be acid...any stripper procduct would not affect the surface, but remember it will remove it from the joint too, so they will have to be re-sealed.
