I want to grout my shower border tiles with white grout while the main tiles will be grouted with brown.
Is any special grouting steps or techniques I should follow ?
I been told to grout first the main tiles, wait a day or two then grout the border tiles otherwise the colors will mix up.

No special grouting steps or techniques Frank ... just keep a clean sponge and water for the final color you use.
