I have a question that is different than the usual ones (no laughing now). Will a home theatre system's large powered subwoofer do any damage to a tile floor (cracked grout or worse)? I'm looking at a 15 inch KLIPSCH 2,400 watt(Dynamic Power) subwoofer - not a K-mart special. I'm thinking (hoping) that it won't do any more damage than the normal pounding from walking on the floor. Is anyone using a large powered subwoofer on ceramic tile?

2400 watts! Maybe you should be worried about the rest of the house too! ....sounds like fun...and I think the tile will be ok too. ;\)

2400 watts ???!! .... holy smokes man, your ears are gonna bleed. \:D

I take it you won't be playing any Michael Bolton ;\)

Bri's right, no need to worry about the tile.

The subwoofer will be used more for movies than music. There's nothing like watching a movie with a helicopter scene on a big screen TV and being able to feel the thump of the chopper blades on your chest. It puts you right in the middle of the action. Glad to hear my tile floor will be OK. \:D

Feeling it? I'll say! May even knock you out of your seat! I can picture the Maxwell icon now with the guy sitting in his chair with the wind from the sound system speakers rushing through his hair.
