I want to build a tub surround & undermount the tub. I will be using ceramic tile on the deck & walls. I have some questions.
1. Is any special framing needed for supporting the tub to create a surface where the deck will meet the walls to help prevent cracking of the tiles/grout?

2. The tiles will be applied over both framing and the flat surface of the undermount tub. I am using large tiles (10 x 13)and will transition from one surface to the other. Do I use a special thinset for this application?

3. Also, I need recommendation on how to finish/seal edge of tiles that will be cut to match the curved edge of the tub interior. :rolleyes:
