I have just purchased an 90 year old house and would like to put ceramic tile on the floor in the basement recreation room. However the home inspector said homes of this age may have a very thin concrete slab
and prone to movement. Any suugestions?

thanks peter

I would drill a couple holes in various locations and measure the concrete, but if the floor looks fairly staight without sink holes u should be okay, if things just don't seem right I would use ditra.
