Hi Guys/Gals,

I just finished grouting my tub surround and it says on the grout box to keep the grout moist while it cures for 3 days.
Do I just use a damp rag or sponge or should I use a mist bottle of water?? How often should I do this and how soon after grouting should I start this? I thought you had to be carful not to get to much water on the grout for 3 days?
I am confused please help!!!

Thanks!!

I'm quessing your using Polyblend grout.
For some specific reason they would like you to lightly mist the area for three days.
Most cement based products cure better when kept hydrated,so I quess that's why Custom wants you to do it.

Mist means a very small amount of moisture so don't use a sponge or rag. Use a spray bottle with the correct setting.

Thanks RC!!!
The grout in a few spots seems to be darker than other spots, will this change in the next two or three days or did I screw something up in my grouting and is there anything I can do about it now??

Thanks

It's not likely going to change. If you can post a photo of the problem area that may help.
