Ok...I'm tired of looking for a place where somebody else asked this question, so I'm going to ask it even if it's already been answered.

What should I do with a corner where tile meets drywall? Do I just use a drywall corner bead, putting thinset on one side and drywall mud on the other? I decided that the best (most aesthetic) thing for me to do with my shower is to bring the shower tiles all the way out to the corner rather than having a few inches of wallpaper there. It's a little hard to explain, but the shower curb is about 5 inches from the corner. I can't bring the curb out further because the other end would run into a doorway.

Hi Reen
You need some sort of trim peice I think(if I understand your question correctly) Have a look around this site. You can get these trims(or something like them, at Home Depot, or any tile shop.

Hi Brian (I'm kind of jumping around from topic to topic). I don't think those pieces from Schluter will work for my corner. They look like they're made for corners where tile meets tile. I've got a simple outside corner where tile meets drywall. Will drywall tape work? This corner is outside the actual shower area so it should not be a wet area.

Thanks,
Reen

Hi
It sounds like you need a drywall corner bead...it's nailed on and filled with drywall filler...it gives you a nice straight corner to work with. Once it's on, you can still use the schluter trim to cover the exposed edge of the tile..it will go right to the edge of the bead.
