Now I want to redo my only bathroom in the basement.
After reading some postings I will forego trying to trmove the ugly existing tile and just tile right over it!I feel better already.
The only thing is, I am noticing that the tile under the sink and beside the toilet is almost always wet on top from some sort of "atmospheric" moisture. It seems totally solid but I am concerned that maybe my basement is "too wet". (how in the world do you deal with that???)
and tiling over moist tiles......well, even if the existing ones are sound, seems wrong somehow.
Mayebe I should gut the thing and relocate the bathroom upstairs where it's dry?
