I've been interested in the discussions on other boards about waterproofing membranes...I've used schluter's Kerdi and Ditra systems, but a lot of others are mentioned such as Nobleseal and others including trowel on liquid applications. Any info or reviews from anyone trying any of these products would be appreciated

thanks

Well, I'm not going to be any help. I've been asking around, too.

I've only used Schluter's systems, never really gave it much thought until lately. The troweled on method seems kind of time consuming with the curing times and testing required.

See .... I'm as much help as John ..... just in more words

Hi,
I think that Daltile carries Laticrete and they have a waterproof mortar system.I've only used the Schluter Kerdi and Ditra also but I'd like to get a job where I can try out the waterproof mortar.

Hi everyone ...

Seems as though TEC Specialty Products Inc. and Custom Building Products have designed their own systems for applying a self-leveling setting bed by the use of pumps and hoses. I don't know anything about either of these products, but I certainly wouldn't mind learning more.

Hey, that's the article written by my friend MB. I can't afford any of that stuff, though. Pumps and hoses? I'm having trouble keeping buckets. \:D

Hi Bri

I see your post is almost two months old now. Let me know if you are still interested in some info and I'll fill you in on my experiences with waterproofing products.
