Hi Harry

I saw the photos of your current project. Have you figured out why they ran the plumbing on top of the slab? (Pure laziness is probably the answer \:D )

Since I do most of the plumbing on my jobs I am curious to see what you are going to do to fix that mess.

There was a lot of laziness when this house was built. On the third page I've chipped away all the concrete so that I can extend the abs to where I want them. The old sink drain can be slightly inclined more to increase the flow for the shower and I'll extend the old shower abs to where the pedestal sink is going.
I have to redirect all the supply lines and what a mess thay are. Maybe I should call this a plumbing project. ;\)

If you see me screwing up let me know ok?

By the way ... I was going to use a mud floor but now that I see the condition of the slab (good) I'm thinking maybe a slc so that the height difference won't be too radical.

Tomorrow I'm doing all the plumbing and electrical which is a nice change from mixing mud. \:\)

Well, after several days of effort, I FINALLY got the plumbing inpector out to my big job and got the final. I got the final stickers for electric and building earlier this week. Yay!

I hadn't seen page two and three until just now. It looks like they hadn't pulled a vent off that shower, and maybe the sink. Are you doing all the plumbing yourself?

Talk to Bri about doing the glass block! \:\)

Rob, do you do all your electrical too? It sure saves a lot of overhead cost if everything is done by yourself doesn't it. I'd never let a plumber touch any of the work I put my name on. I know there's good plumbers out there ... I just haven't met that many yet. ;\)

I do everything myself ... both plumbing and electrical. It breaks up the routine and allows me to keep very competitive prices while having a larger margin of profit .... and it always done exactly the way I want it.

I didn't get much done today except the window and the abs roughed in.

I just noticed that I forgot to type "vent" in that last post...I was trying to say that I noticed they didn't have vents pulled off the fixtures. I wonder how similar plumbing codes are up there in Canada?

No, I don't do any electrical work.

ABS is no longer used around here. I think it is still available in the South and out in California and other states.

It's all the impurities that give it the distinct flavour.
